Aalto University Energy Science Initiative

Aalto Energy Science Initiative (ESCI) is a strategic initiative hosted by the Aalto University School of Science focusing on multidisciplinary education and student involvement around timely energy topics. The core activities are formed around the scientific strengths of the School of Science, but ESCI also involves people across the whole Aalto University.

The core activities of ESCI include the Energy Garage (at Sähkömiehentie 4G, K4 Building), which is a learning hub and innovation space intended to increase student involvement around energy.

Energy Garage hosts the Multidisciplinary Energy Studies programme which is offered to all Aalto University and international students at the Master’s level as minor subject. The programme is a joint-effort of six chairs from three Aalto schools.
